SEND Governor 

I was co-opted to the School Governors in July 2020. My 3 children have all attended Broomfield, with my twins currently in year 5. I have experience of being supported by Broomfield’s SENCO and other teachers at the school through a Autism diagnosis and EHCP applications, as well as transitioning into Year 7 through the midst of the pandemic.  

I work for a charity who provides social care support in supported living, respite and residential services for people with learning disabilities. I lead the human resources and training teams across our homes through Yorkshire. I’ve also somehow become more involved in Scouting as all 3 children love the activities the groups provide. It means by volunteering a little time the groups are able to offer support to children and continue something I believe is a great tradition. In my ‘spare’ time I’m completing my level 7 in Leadership and management. 

When not working and running around after the kids/husband I love nothing more than a visit to the library or a walk over the hills.
